ok some of the things that I have noticed,
Don't use poison feilds after dryads are lured, this causes mel to just sit and re-target and for most mages and tamers that is really bad, you want mel to focus on the ev's, natures fury, and pets. healing pets does give you looting rights, For god sakes necros, stop animating the dryads, because of new targeting system the animate normally does not focus on mel it usally decides to kill a member of party.
as many people know I have gotten 4 crimson's, I wish I knew what I was doing differnt from other players, I do know its not a luck suit. I think luck is like 32, I didn't honor or anything like that, all I do is cast natures fury over and over, a occasianal corpse skin for all the fireball mages, and towards the end casting WoD over and over
Tamers are not essential to take down mel, I was in a party of 3 I being a SWing necromage, and one was a insrip mage and the other was a warrior of some sorts...it did take a hour and a half but it can be done.
some people either know this and most chose not to use it the ladder is almost a safe place, if you go down ladder and click No you can stay here without getting dmg now I do say almost...as I have had mel teleport to me on the bottom of the ladder but has only happened once that I know of.
also if you need a rez please don't stand right in front of mel waiting for a rez. I won't come to you LoL, and WATCH YOUR MOUTH when you die, I am a necro and can read what you say LoL, we have some filthy mouthed peeps when they die, and they think that all they say is OoOoOOO
Bah! gotta go to work END OF MY RANT hehehe fer now

Hiya, EA decided to fix the ladder safe spot finally.
I notice (MT) has lots of spellweavers, probably inline with the "mage" roleplaying concept.
As mentioned, Spellweavers are great for WoD, but that comes when the boss is 30% health or less. My personal thoughts are that Spellweavers are not essential / valuable part of a good Mel Team.
At start when Boss (Full stamina, full mana) with Goats are most dangerous, spellweavers do not contribute much. At end, it is easiest. Even if a WoDer can do 700 plus damage per WoD to boss, it is not valuable to the TEAM but for own benefit.
Tamers are like bread and buter. You always need at least two to tank Mel and heal pets. They also take all the risk of their pets dying and losing skill.
All the spellweavers are optional because one archer is better than four spellweavers. Archer starts contributing from the start while spellweavers throw toothpicks at the boss :<
10 mins Mel need only 2 Mage Tamers and 1 Archer 7 mins Mel need only 2 Mage Tamers, 1 Archer and 1 Bard
If we add in Spellweavers, we cut down time to 6 mins ? But the loot is shared among more people so returns are bad.
If (MT) members would consider playing those templates mentioned above, you will see massive response to your Mel Invitations over Alliance Chat. Most of the time, you see nobody wants to bring their tamer. The reason is as I have explained.

Which pet combo's you using Seth? Rune Beetle / Mare combo on both tamers or just a dog as a meat sheild?
I bring my beetle/mare when I do Mel, plus having no meditation or evaluate on my tamer hurts when having to do lots of healing over time.
Any other suggestions?

Let the Novice Tamer use a dog. One pet easier to look after. Dog is the best tank for Mel. The other more experienced Tamer uses rune/mare combo to speed up kill time as well as temporary backup tank in case accidents happen. I have yet to see any tamer team attempt purely rune/mare. * With the exception of having an army of mage spellweavers behind to heal them : which is obscene wastage of manpower I always advise returning members of tDw/TAA to learn how to use tamer for Mel because: (1) They probably already have a tamer (2) MR Suit is relatively cheap (3) No drastic change in existing template (4) Tamers can finish ' Mel Key Quest' easily solo (5) Become wildly popular with others as they are like pillars/beams of a solid Mel team. Everybody loves the tamer tanking Mel.
